The Khuisiin Naiman Nuur National Monument is located in the Central Mongolian Khangai mountain range and represents a typical high mountain area of Mongolia with max. The area of Naiman Nuur (Eight Lakes), which was created by volcanic eruptions centuries ago and 3,163 metres above sea level Khuisiin Naiman Nuur (Navel Eight Lakes) is located on over 2,400 metre above sea level. The area of 11,500 hectare size was declared a National Monument in 1992. From the lakes, about 35km southwest of Orkhon Khurkhree (waterfall), but the roads are often virtually impassable. The lakes are named Shireet, Khaliut, Bugat, Khaya, Khuis, Onon, Doroo and Bayan-Uul. Two of the smaller lakes are completely dried up, the second largest lake Khuis Nuur is dried up to ten percent.
The lakes located in a high mountain area with sub alpine mountain meadows and coniferous forests of Siberian Pine and Siberian Larch; flat valley areas with lava stone fields in the north of the protected area and barren mountain tops, and the lakes.
DAY 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar city and you will be driven to 4* hotel by our guide and driver. After lunch, you will be guided for a half-day city tour to visit to Mongolian National History Museum, Gandan temple, Sukhbaatar square and Zaisan hill to see panoramic view of whole Ulaanbaatar city. DAY 2. Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune \300km by paved road\
Elsen Tasarkhai Sand dune is a unique place represents features of Gobi desert, mountain steppes and grasslands with sand dunes, lake and birds and situated in a southern of Khugnu Tarna National Park. Guests will enjoy activities such as playing and surfing in sand, horse and two humped camel riding. Nature scene impresses tourists because of landscape diversity: sand dunes, meadows, steppe, and mountains. Overnight at tourist Ger camp in Elsen Tasarkhai /B+L+D/
DAY 3.1 Elsen Tassarkhai – Shuranga Tsohio \235 km by paved and unpaved road\
After breakfast drive to Uyanga soum, Uvurkhangai aimag through the beautiful valley and green pastures, stopover on Shuranga, a huge rock with the shape of camel’s two humps. This is a huge rock cliff called Shurangyn Ulaan Tsohio, located 35 km far from Uyanga soum, rich with Mongolian old script inscriptions in black ink and red ochre cross marks that dates from Paleolithic period. Scientists suggest that the red marks indicate fire and cross marks present humans. All these scripts are clearly visible in the rain, when the rock surface is wet.
There is a saying that one who throws the stone over the Shuranga cliff will have all their wealth multiplied and become very rich, so anyone who are stopping by are encouraged to give it a try.
Day 3.2 Shuranga Tsohio – Naiman Nuur Lake \15km by unpaved road\
Arrive at Khuisiin Naiman nuur and camp in tourist Ger camp. /B+L+D/
Day 4. RIDE TOUR 1. Khuis Lake. Horse ride to the first Lake Huis in the famous area of Naiman Nuur –a valley locked by the outside world through mountains with eight small underground connected lakes which were created by volcanic eruptions centuries ago and 3,163 metres above sea level Khuisiin Naiman Nuur (Navel Eight Lakes) is located on over 2,400 meter above sea level. DAY 5. RIDE TOUR 2: Naiman Nuur – Shireet Lake
Horse ride to the biggest Lake Shireet, which is perfect for photo-shooting and camping overnight. We highly recommend this area for our customers who want to experience adventurous horseback riding. Stay overnight in tents. /B+L+D/
DAY 6. RIDE TOUR 3: Naiman Nuur – Airag Lake
Horse ride to the next Lake Airag, which has wonderful area. The lakes located in a high mountain area with sub alpine mountain meadows and coniferous forests of Siberian Pine and Siberian Larch; flat valley areas with lava stone fields in the north of the protected area and barren mountain tops, and the lakes. DAY 7. RIDE TOUR 4:Naiman Nuur – Orkhon Waterfall
Riding carry on through Tsagaan Azargyn Valley (Valley of White Stallion) and Amgalan Davaa hill, passing beautiful natural landscapes. The driver will meet at the foot of Shavart Khairkhan and drive to Ulaantsutgalan. Trekking at Ulaantsutgalan Waterfall (Orkhon waterfall). Ulaantsutgalan, 10 meters wide and 25 meters high, is the biggest waterfall in Mongolia and one of the most visited destinations in Orkhon valley, UNESCO World heritage site. DAY 8. Karakorum – Erdenezuu monastery
Drive to Karakorum, the symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Then visit Karakorum museum and see the Great Mongol state period, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient state period halls.. Overnight in tourist ger camp. (B+L+D)
DAY 9. Khustai National Park
Early morning depart to the Hustai National Park. You can see many historical there are many historical monument ensemble of Ungut- famous with it is large number of man like figures, which belongs to 6-8 th century AD and many other sepultures, rectangular tombs. On the way, see Takhi, the Asian wild horse. If you have a chance, see wolf, argali sheep and deer. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. DAY 10. Chingis Khaan Statue Complex
Chingis Khaan Statue Complex is a 40 metres (130 ft) tall statue of Chingis Khaan on horseback, on the bank of the Tuul River. Visitors walk to the head of the horse through its chest and neck, where they have a panoramic view. The main statue area will be surrounded by 200 gers designed and arranged like the pattern of the horse brand marks that were used by the 13th century Mongol tribes.
DAY 11. Back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. Free and Relax time to prepare for the next morning’s flight back to your home country.
Day 12. After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport.
